Which is the best app for a digital guest guide?
It depends on the need, not on a ranking. For one property, with no app for guests to download, a free plan such as LOQY’s is a place to start. If you already use a PMS, look at the guide built into it. If you need online check-in that sends guest data, look at a dedicated tool such as Chekin.
Is there an Italian alternative to Touch Stay?
Yes. Italian-language sites include LOQY, GuestWelcomeGuide, WelcomeGuide.it and QuiCasaVacanze. LOQY is built in Italy: Free covers one property and Pro is €10 a month, excl. VAT. What changes is the published price, whether it connects to a PMS, and whether the guest must install an app.

Start from the need, not from the most quoted name. Then check the price on the vendor’s page: the figures below are the ones read on 7 November 2026.

- Count the properties. With one, a free plan is enough to try.
- Decide whether the guide has to live inside your PMS. If it does, LOQY is the wrong tool.
- Read the price on the vendor’s page, and the date it was checked.
- Check whether the guest opens a link in the browser or has to install an app. On LOQY they download nothing: you can create the page and print its QR code.
How we compared them
Each note answers the same questions, and only with what the vendor’s site published. Where a fact was missing, we did not guess it.
- Price model, and whether a figure is written on the page.
- A free plan, kept separate from a time-limited trial.
- Whether the guest has to install an app.
- Translations and local tips, when the page describes them.
- Integrations with a PMS or with the booking portals.
- Whether the site is in Italian. We state Italian-language support only for LOQY, which is our product.
The apps, one by one
LOQY is a QR code digital guide, built in Italy, with the site and support in Italian. The guest opens it in the browser, with no app and no account. The Free plan includes one property, the basic information, the QR code and total page views, with no credit card. It does not include local tips, translations, the gallery, PDFs, review links or additional information. Pro is €10 a month or €90 a year, excl. VAT, with a 7-day trial and no card: unlimited properties, translations, local tips, gallery and video, PDF menus, additional information, themes and section and tip statistics. LOQY does not connect to a PMS, a channel manager or Airbnb: you paste the link yourself. The published prices are on the LOQY homepage.
Touch Stay is a guide the guest opens from a link or a QR code, with no app to download: their pricing page says so. The free plan is not a timed trial. It includes unlimited guidebooks, branding, QR codes, local recommendations, the chatbot and the guest store, with no card and no expiry. The published monthly limits are 20 views per guidebook, 8 scheduled emails and 3 chatbot conversations. There is also a 14-day trial of the paid features, with no card. Paid prices are not a fixed figure in the page text: they are calculated by business type and property count. The page menu is in English, Spanish and French. The page also says guests can translate the guidebook into their language, and that there are 40+ integrations with PMS and channel-manager tools.
Hostfully sells the guidebook on its own, tied to its own PMS. The Free plan is one guidebook at $0 and includes sponsored recommendations. Pro goes up to 199 guidebooks: the page lists translation into 16+ languages and, as its own row, removing sponsored recommendations, but it does not publish Pro’s price. Enterprise, from 200 guidebooks, is tailored. The only fee the page states is a 1% Stripe fee on marketplace upsells. The guidebook is shared by link, QR code or PDF. The pricing page we read is in English.
Chekin is an online check-in tool, not only a guide. On the Italian pricing page, Base starts at €3.95 per property per month and does not include the digital guide. Premium starts at €5.95 and includes one premium feature of your choice, including the guide. Enterprise starts at €7.95 and includes the guide with the other premium features. The published annual plan saves 20%, and the page says the price drops in steps of 10 properties: the figure for your property is read there. The same page lists a customizable Guest App as a separate premium feature. It also lists compliance for Alloggiati and ISTAT: that is their claim. LOQY does not send guest data and is not a compliance tool. The page does not say whether those prices include VAT.
Guideo is a digital welcome book with a QR code, with no download, and the site is in Italian. There is no permanent free plan: there is a 30-day trial with no card. The homepage price is €49 a year per book, excl. VAT, for 1 to 9 books, and the rate drops from 10 books. For hotels, from 5 rooms, the homepage says from €20 per room per year, excl. VAT.
StayTap publishes a free Basic plan: 1 property, 1 language, no card. On the pricing page, with figures shown in dollars, Pro is $7.45 a month for up to 5 properties and 9 languages, Agency is $21.49 for up to 25, and Unlimited is $48.49. The page says these are indicative prices converted from euros and that Stripe charges in the local currency. Paid plans have a 14-day trial. The page states French support, not Italian. It lists a QR code and a link, and does not say whether the guest must install an app.
WelloGuest has a free Discovery booklet, with no card: basic modules, a link or a QR code. In the price table, Premium is €6.99 per booklet per month, excl. VAT, for 1 to 4 booklets, and it falls to €2.99 from 50 booklets. The page says VAT is added. It does not charge its own fee on extras: Stripe’s fees remain. The site is in Italian.
WelcomeGuide.it is a service with a site in Italian. The guest opens the guide in the browser, with a QR code or an NFC tag, and does not install an app. In the FAQ the price is €34 a year, VAT included, except during promotions. Each guide holds up to 15 pages and translation goes through Google Translate. A free plan is not stated.
GuestWelcomeGuide has a site in Italian and no free plan. The published Basic plan is €89 a year, €49 for the first year for new subscribers, for 1 guide, with translation into 5 languages and an AI receptionist included. A note on the same page says the prices include VAT. Business is €169 a year for up to 5 guides, Pro €299 a year for up to 20. There is no automatic renewal. TV mode is an extra at €14.75 a year, VAT included. The guest uses a QR code.
QuiCasaVacanze publishes a free directory and, separately, the guest guide. The guide is not part of the directory: Guest Guide Only is €89 per house per year, plus 22% VAT, with a 14-day trial and no card. From 5 houses the price per house drops. The guide is described as an installable PWA, with a QR code, 21 languages and push notifications. The site is in Italian.
Ospitae is an assistant for guests, with a site in Italian and no app: a QR code opens the page in the browser. The homepage publishes no price list. The model is credits, “pay for what you use”, and you can start with no card. Besides the guide there is a booking engine and iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking and other portals. This page is written by Team LOQY, which is one of the apps listed. It is not an independent test and it does not give a score. On 7 November 2026 we read the pages linked in the sources and reported only what was written there. Where a price was not published, we say so. There are no screenshots. Prices change: if a vendor has updated the list, their page is the one that counts.

- For most of the tools on this page, no: the guest opens a link or a QR code in the browser. LOQY, Touch Stay, Hostfully, Guideo, WelloGuest, WelcomeGuide.it, GuestWelcomeGuide and Ospitae say so. Guideo has a 30-day trial. QuiCasaVacanze has 14 days on the guide, and the directory is free. GuestWelcomeGuide and WelcomeGuide.it do not state a free plan. Ospitae says you can start with no card and does not publish prices. Chekin does not publish a free plan.
- Which app integrates with Airbnb or with my PMS?
- LOQY does not: it does not connect to Airbnb, Booking or a PMS, and you paste the guide link yourself. Hostfully says the guidebook syncs with the Hostfully PMS. Touch Stay publishes 40+ integrations with PMS and channel-manager tools. Ospitae publishes a booking engine and iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking and other portals.
