Digital guide for a farm stay: experiences, menu and the area in one QR

A digital guide for a farm stay gathers on one page what guests ask between the room, the restaurant and the shop: the farm’s products, the menu, experiences, hours and what to do in the area. They open it by scanning a QR code, with no app, and you update it when the season changes. Here is what to tell them, where to put the QR codes and how to build it with LOQY, including as a farm-stay welcome book.

What should a farm-stay digital guide include?

Besides Wi-Fi, hours and rules, a farm-stay digital guide covers the farm’s own products, the restaurant menu, experiences such as tastings or a farm visit, a seasonal calendar and tips on the area, including local producers and activities. Photos and short videos, on the Pro plan, help guests choose what to do during the stay.

How do you present a farm stay’s services and experiences?

Gather services and experiences on one page, with hours and how to book, and link it to a QR code in the room, at the restaurant and in the farm shop. With LOQY, guests open it on their phone, and on the Pro plan in their own language. You update the seasonal programme without reprinting the leaflets.

What to put in the farm-stay digital guide

Start with what guests ask at the table and in the room. The table says what to write and where it goes on the property page in LOQY.

LOQY does not take bookings: in the note, write how to book, for example a phone number or a time. Rules work better with the reason, written kindly: examples are in Holiday home house rules.

The area, with no partner list

A farm stay lives off the place: your own products, and also the dairy, the trail, the village festival. Putting that in the guide helps the guest, who would otherwise open the first map they find.

In LOQY those places are local tips: a name, one sentence on why, and a button that opens the map. How to write them, category by category, is in Local tips for guests. Local tips are on the Pro plan.

LOQY has no partner field, keeps no list of affiliated businesses and pays no commission. If a producer is yours or a relative’s, or gives you something for the guests you send, write that in the note. The tip stays text you publish yourself.

Where to put the QR codes

One QR code opens the guide for the whole farm stay. You print it and put it where the guest stops.

  • Rooms: on the nightstand or the desk, at eye level.
  • Restaurant tables: for hours and the menu, with no sheet per table to replace.
  • The shop: next to the products, with hours and how to pay.
  • The entrance or reception: for someone arriving who needs the way to the room.

Outdoors, laminate the sheet or use an outdoor sticker, and test the scan before you hang it. Placement and size, point by point, are in Where to put the guest QR code.

How it works with LOQY

LOQY is a digital guest guide that opens from the QR code, in the browser, with no app and no account. For a farm stay the steps are these:

  1. Create your account and the farm-stay page. The Free plan covers one property, with no credit card.
  2. Fill in arrival, Wi-Fi, services, rules, contacts and meal times.
  3. In Useful information, write the shop products, the experiences and what is open this season.
  4. Download the QR code as a PDF, print it and put it in the room, at the restaurant and in the shop.
  5. When the programme changes, you edit it in your account: the page updates and the QR codes already on display stay valid.

On the Pro plan the guide is translated into the languages you turn on, 15 more besides Italian, and the guest picks theirs on the page. Add the menu as a PDF, the gallery with photos and video, local tips on the area and additional-information entries, for example the seasonal calendar. Pro costs €10 a month or €90 a year, excl. VAT, with a 7-day trial and no card: if you do not add a card, you return to Free.

The published prices, excl. VAT, are on the LOQY homepage. LOQY does not connect to a property system and does not take bookings. For dedicated onboarding or custom branding, write to support@loqy.info and ask for a custom quote.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add the restaurant menu?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner times are on the Free plan. On Pro you attach the menu as a PDF and replace it when the season changes, without reprinting the sheets on the tables.
Is the guide translated for guests from abroad?
On the Pro plan, yes: you turn languages on and LOQY translates the content. That is 15 more languages besides Italian. The guest picks the language on the page. On the Free plan the guide stays in the language you write in.
Can I promote my farm shop’s products?
Yes. Hours and a description go in Useful information, on the Free plan too. On Pro you add photos and video in the gallery and, if you want, an additional-information entry. LOQY does not sell the products and does not handle the receipt.
Do guests need an app?
No. The guide is a web page: the guest scans the QR code with the phone camera, or opens the link, and reads it in the browser. They do not create an account and they do not leave a name or email.
